Obtaining Prescription Drugs from On-Line Canadian Pharmacies

I have a seizure disorder which came on a few years ago. The prescribed medication was horrendously expensive but since I had excellent health insurance, very little money had to be paid out of pocket. Unfortuneately, I became unemployed and then had to pay for all of it myself. This was quite painful for me economically. Furthermore, I am married with two little children.

The situation frustrated me so I went on a time consuming quest to find a better deal. I decided the best alternative was to buy from out of country. I found that my medication was much cheaper from a number of other countries. I settled upon Canada and started purchasing my medication through an on-line, Canadian pharmacy.

I chose to buy from Canada because it is our neighbor, is a nice, First World country and, the people are great. Their cities are just as nice as ours here in the USA. Here on the West Coast, I’ve been to both Vancouver B.C. (British Columbia) and Victoria B.C.; both places are fabulous. I have no doubt that medications directly from Canada are every bit as good as those here in the USA.

My contacts with the pharmacy reps. were pleasant. The medication came conveniently to me in the mail. The quality and the effectiveness of the medication was every bit as good as what you would find here in the USA. Many Americans use to drive across the Canadian border but they do not need to do that. Perhaps they just don’t know they can order their prescription drugs on the internet?

I learned that these same Canadian pharmacies can facilitate your acquisition of prescription drugs from other countries. There is a growing trend of people getting their prescription medications from India and the U.K. My medication came from an Indian Pharmacy but the purchase was coordinated through a Canadian facility.

At some point I thought why not inform and educate other Americans about what I had learned. Afterall, I was unemployed and had extra time on my hands. So, I studied and learned more and eventually, created a website dedicated to this topic. The site is called www.PrescriptionDrugsCanada.Org.  I have consolidated the very best on line, Canadian pharmacies on my site. This makes it easy for people to shop and compare, to decide from which pharmacy they wish to order, etc.

Buying prescription drugs from Canada or from other countries is legal.  The FDA has included a discretionary clause which allows USA customers to buy from a non USA pharmacy as long as it is not more than a 90 day supply.   I have ordered from out of country many times and so are many thousands of other Americans.

I personally believe there is no real or legitimate legal issue whatsoever in terms of buying directly from a Canadian pharmacy. Instead, I believe USA pharmaceutical companies, some politicians, etc. just do not want or like the fact that a USA consumer can access less expensive alternatives.

Why are prescription drugs so affordable in Canada? The Canadian government regulates the cost of prescription drugs, keeping prices down. There are also more generic drugs (substitutes for brand name drugs) in Canada than in other industrialized countries. Furthermore, the Canadian Dollar is weak in comparison to the Euro and the US Dollar.  I’ve had people contact me about many medications which are dramatically cheaper from Canada.

Well, I hope the information in this article helps some of you save some money.  In a number of instances, the savings can be dramatic.  This information could be extra valuable for someone who has little or no health insurance.  Best wishes!
